Counselling | Psychotherapy | Supervision
Welcome to my website and thank you for visiting.
Choosing a therapist can feel like a daunting task, the aim of this site is to give you an insight into what I can offer to help with your decision. You might also like to check out the Useful Information page for links to resources and websites that may be helpful in supporting you now or in addition to the therapy that you choose.
I offer a free, no-obligation session, where we can talk through what you are looking to achieve through counselling. Meeting with you gives you an idea of what the sessions may be like and see whether my approach might be a good fit for you.
You are welcome to contact me if there is anything you would like to check or clarify that isn't clear from this site.

About Me
Qualifications
I began my journey into becoming a therapist in 1994, gaining my Psychodynamic and Humanistic Counselling Certificate at Goldsmiths University. This foundation enabled me to begin my training at the Minster Centre, London. In 1997. I began the Diploma in Integrative Counselling, followed by The Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy, completed in 2000. In 2003, I was awarded an MA in Humanistic & Psychodynamic Integrative Psychotherapy and registered with the UKCP.
In 2007 I completed the Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Supervision and in 2009, the Advanced Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy for Children and Families, both at The Wealden Institue, Crowborough. I completed the Mindfulness for Stress Reduction course in 2012, and more recently, in 2020 did 100 hours training with the Academy for Online Therapy, gaining a General Certificate in Online Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am committed to engaging in CPD (Continuing Professional Development), through attending workshops and additional training, reading, and running my own CPD training for other professionals. This ensures that I stay up to date with developing theories and approaches, keeping my practice fresh and relevant.
Approach - How I work
Counselling is a way of helping people to identify, understand and manage distress. I am passionate about the potential for positive changes that Counselling and Psychotherapy can bring about. I feel honoured to have witnessed the often life-changing journies clients have made. In common with Humanistic thinking, I believe that we all have the capacity to overcome life's challenges and to become the best that we can be, through finding our own answers. However, this can be difficult to do alone, and where counselling and psychotherapy may be beneficial. As a therapist, my role is to help you better understand how and why you think and feel as you do, enabling you to make the choices leading towards the changes that you wish to make. My aim is to offer a safe, confidential space where you can talk about what is troubling you and be really heard without fear of judgement.
As an integrated therapist, my training was in a number of approaches, some psychodynamic and some humanistic. Don’t worry too much about what this means, but you may want to Google some of the approaches that inform my practice which, amongst others. are:
Person Centered
Transactional Analysis
Gestalt
Attachment theory
Object Relations theory
Family constellations
Systemic theory
CBT
I keep up to date with new theory and thinking, and attend regular training and workshops throughout the year so that my thinking does not become “fixed” and/or outdated.

Safeguarding & Confidentiality
Currently, I am able to offer one-to-one sessions, online, to older teens (16 plus). I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate as well as up-to-date Safeguarding training levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
I offer a confidential space where you can talk freely without fear of judgment, giving you the opportunity to share and /or "offload" experiences that may have been troubling you for some time.
My practice is GDPR complaint and I am ICO registered. Confidentiality and GDPR Statements can be found at the foot of each website page.
